Happy National Nurses Week

Dear Nursing Colleagues,

As National Nurses Week begins, we want to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for the incredible work you do every day. Your expert and compassionate care, as well as your enduring commitment to your patients, have been the cornerstone of what defines extraordinary nursing at Kaiser Permanente. From obstetrics to geriatrics, and everything in between, you play a vital role in providing care, comfort, and support to patients during many of their most significant and often most challenging life experiences.

Nursing is a demanding profession, and the past few years have brought about extraordinary challenges that have put us all to the test in ways we never previously imagined. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for our members and patients, our communities, and each other. We know that the past few years have not been easy, and throughout it all, we have been incredibly impressed by your resilience as you have continually risen to the challenges we have faced together.

The impact of your countless contributions over the past several years will very much help pave the road ahead. We will continue to build on our accomplishments during one of the most pivotal chapters in the history of health care, leading the transformation of care delivery in our country.

Remember to embrace the journey, stay open to new possibilities, and never lose sight of the passion that drew you to nursing in the first place, even as it takes on new forms and evolves over time. For all of us, it is essential that we welcome these changes to our profession and trust that they will lead us to new opportunities and experiences that will enrich our lives, our careers, and the patients we serve.

We are honored and humbled to witness the ways in which your passion drives you, and we look forward to seeing the differences you will continue to make.

Sincerely,
