PermanenteDocs Chat on a new generation learning to live with HIV

TwitterFacebookLinkedInEmail

The White House, through the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS), announced last year a commitment to end the HIV epidemic at home and abroad. Today, more than 38 million Americans live with HIV, and many of them had their care curtailed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Following World AIDS Day this past December 1, this next live PermanenteDocs Chat looked at how Kaiser Permanente’s integrated care model approaches HIV care and treatment, and what needs to be done to build HIV awareness for a new generation. Watch the replay above with host Alex McDonald, MD, and guest Colin Fields, MD, of the Washington Permanente Medical Group.

Guest speaker

  • Colin Fields, MD, family medicine physician and medical director for Government Relations and Public Policy, Washington Permanente Medical Group; and chief of HIV and PrEP for Kaiser Permanente in Washington.
