Sarah MacDonald

Sarah MacDonald has managed The Permanente Federation’s Corporate Development team and function since 2006. Her focus is third-party collaboration in support of Kaiser Permanente’s business objectives. Sarah provides oversight on transaction structures for corporate development and has completed multiple acquisitions and agreements with third parties during her tenure with Kaiser Permanente.  

Sarah joined the Corporate Development and Ventures team in 1999 and initially worked on new products and business lines. She has also worked within Kaiser Permanente hospital and nursing operations to develop and build their strategic planning and analytical function. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, MacDonald worked in health care consulting with an emphasis on hospital operations.  

She holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and bachelor’s degree in history from Middlebury College.
