During the last two years, clinicians have had to approach the traditional flu season in untraditional ways because of COVID-19. This year is no different as people move out of the pandemic, questions remain among patients about whether to get vaccinated – either to protect against the flu or a booster to fight COVID-19 variants, or both. • Matthew Daley, MD, pediatrician with the Colorado Permanente Medical Group. Dr. Daley is also senior clinical investigator with the Kaiser Permanente Institute of Health Research in Colorado and a member of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, which provides advice and guidance to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the use of vaccines in the United States.
